Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Mecca Leisure subsidiary Shearings is taking delivery of a further 12 buses this year in a rapid renewal of its localservice fleet.

The company, better known as operators of coach tours, has a fleet of around 50 buses on local services in Staffordshire and the North West. Shearings started with secondhand buses, and took its first new Leyland Lynxes at the beginning of 1987. It has 12 such buses in stock. Delivery has just been completed of eight Leyland Tigers with Belfast-built Alexander bodies, bringing the total of this type in the fleet to 16. A further eight are on order for early delivery this year bringing the number of new buses in the fleet to 36, all bought within the past 14 months.

Also in the course of delivery to the company are 94 new coaches, representing the largest single purchase of new coaches in post-war years.
