Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

it comes to the new law that states the minimum bhp per ton that's required.

As I am thinking of buying a new truck with a trailer, two axles apiece, I wondered if you could tell me the correct bhp per ton minimum engine power required for a 30-ton-gross weight?

A At the moment all vehicles built after October 1 1972, and first operated after April 1 1973 must have a power to weight ratio of at least 6 bhp per laden ton. In the case of • a 30-ton-gcw vehicle 180 bhp would be needed. The horsepower must be as defined by BS AU 141a: 1971 and must be a net installed figure. In our opinion 6 bhp is a low figure and we would advise you to buy at least 8 bhp /ton.
