Mervyn Harris has been appointed assistant manager, mileage division. Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co. Ltd., as from March 1. Since 1964 he has been Midland representative of the mileage division.

A. Ross, for 10 years assistant traffic manager, Scottish Omnibuses Ltd., has been appointed manager to succeed John Mack.

C. L Marsden, deputy manager and traffic superintendent, Chesterfield Corporation's transport department, is retiring in March after 47 years' service. He began as a bus conductor.

OBITUARY

We record with regret the deaths of Mr. Reginald Albert Hall and Mr. John Cedric Jackson.

Mr. Hall, 58, the West Midlands deputy LA since May 1958, died suddenly last Saturday. Mr. Hall, an LL.B. of London University and member of the Inner Temple, was called to the Bar in 1948.

Mr. Jackson, 53, had been secretary of the Lincolnshire Road Car Co. Ltd., since 1953, having joined the company in 1931. During the Second World War he served with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and was awarded the MBE.
