• British Road Services salaried staff required to work twoor three-shift rotations are to receive an additional payment of 7+ per cent of basic salary from January 29. A detailed formula was agreed last week by the National Joint Negotiating Committee.
The allowance will apply to both twoshift and three-shift rotations and will be additional to the existing payment for time worked between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weekdays. It will not be incorporated in basic salary, will be non-pensionable, and will not be included for overtime calculating purposes.
