Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Chive Fuels is taking a novel approach to selling gas by flogging

used gas powered trucks as well.

An alternative fuel company is selling second-hand gas-powered trucks at its refuelling stations to help boost business and market awareness.

Chive Fuels stocks 1998 R-reg ERF EC12 4x2 day-cab tractors powered by liquid natural gas (LNG) from its public re-fuelling sites across the country. MD Roy James bought 18 from Gist and advertised them at its depots across the country "We've sold 10 so far by putting a price tag on them and advertising the LPG at 24p a litre," he reports.

The trucks have around 250,000 miles on the clock and are powered by the Perkins Rolls Royce 12-litre engine. Many have been snapped up by operators based near one of the natural gas refuelling sites.

James says the company's initiative is helping to introduce possibly wary operators to alternative fuels.

Chive Fuels exhibited at the launch of the Dual Fuel programme hosted by Clean Air Power and Foclen (more on that soon).

The growing interest in natural gas-powered engines has allowed the company to expand its empire;there are now 20 sites across the country with six more planned between Scotland and the Home Counties along the M6 and the Ml/Al.
