The drivers had planned trike action for late July and 'am 3-6 August. after giving seir overwhelming endorse
ment in a ballot for industrial action last month. The strike ballot followed the rejection of Securitas' offer in March this year to increase wages by 3.5%, which fell short of the drivers' 1.6 an hour target. The next pay review for the drivers will be held in October next year.
The Securitas Group claims to be Europe's largest cash handling organisation, providing cash-in-transit deliveries to the UK's financial and retail markets. Customers include Eurostar, as well as high street banks.
