Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

help I was visited by John Heads (Eurohaul, Middlesbrough) and his wife. They came armed with a large quantity of air-miles to assist me in taking the wife of John Mills, who is held in Bulgaria, on a visit to the prison in Sofia. John Mills has been held there for some three years now and he has another four years to face.

His wife has not got the means for travel costs or for sending parcels to him as both of these things are costly. I know John Heads and I have not seen eye to eye in the past, due to his article in a previous Commercial Motor edition regarding drivers, but I would like to say his goodwill gesture for the good of the help-line and what I believe in is wonderful and I thank him on behalf of the families that! am dealing with. I would ask other hauliers and drivers to help I need a further 1,000 air miles to obtain free travel to Bulgaria. Any extra I get will assist other families to travel to visit their men in various prisons on the Continent.

The Drivers and Families Help Line also seeks financial help towards getting parcels to the drivers and towards safe accommodation for the women when travelling. Perhaps if drivers could spare a thought for the families left to cope alone in situations that are alien to them and could bear in mind that the same thing could happen to them, no matter how careful they are, they could pop a fiver in an envelope to help those less fortunate than themselves. All donations will be acknowledged and any further information can be obtained from me.
