• On test at Fiat Lubrificanti recently was a Sofim 2.5-litre charge-cooled • diesel engine, rated at 96kW (130hp), although it is not yet known if the engine is destined for commercial vehicle use.
The engine is used in the Iveco Ford TurboDaily, Fiat Ducat° and Renault Master vans, in naturally aspirated, turbocharged and charge-cooled versions,
In charge-cooled form it currently produces 85kW (114hp) at 3,800rpm. Iveco Ford and Renault use this version of the engine.
