RE: “POLITICIANS need to parlez Français” (CM 15 September) anyone who has driven in France will know that the country’s haulage industry is well looked after, with roads and motorways constantly upgraded, and with very good parking, washing and eating facilities.

Also, the Arcotel drivers’ restaurants are vastly superior to anything in the UK.

Also there is an oficial minimum rate for hauliers to charge, which relects operating costs, below which customers cannot force them to go. But it seems that the politicians are not the only ones needing to par lez Français cor rectly because fromage (i.e.

cheese) is a masculine noun, to which the masculine form of the adjective grand must be applied, not grande – which is the feminine version.

By error CM has almost emasculated the self-confessed ‘priapic’ President of France, the infamous Nicolas Sarkozy! Good job the guillotine was abolished some years ago...
