Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I AM WRITING to you for help and any useful addresses you may have for me. I am currently in prison and I will be until 2015. I’m 43-years-old and will be 47 on my release.

I’ve asked the Probation Service and Prison Service for advice on what age I will require my HGV medical, plus for any home study courses for Driver CPC and ADR courses so I can use my time in prison to my beneit.

Well, I’ve been in prison for two-and-a-half years and I’ve still had no answer from either service. I get CM weekly and I value all of the information in your pages, so I’m hoping that you may help with addresses for Open University or home study so I can return to a career of driving upon release.

I will fund the courses myself, despite the government going on about retraining offenders so that they don’t commit crime and how they’re funding millions in training, yet in my two-and-a-half years of asking various oficial bodies, I’ve had no reply. I would therefore like to thank you if you can help me to obtain any courses or home study to help in my resettlement upon release. Keep up the good work!

DH HMP Everthorpe Brough, East Yorkshire
