Our recent roadtest of the Dal 95XF.530 said it was the first 44-tonner to return more than 8mog around CMS revised two-day test route. In fact the first was the MAN TGA 26.430 with the 430hp D20 engine which delivered 8.07mpg back in November 2004. We should have said the Daf's 8.14mpg is the best so far and that the MAN and Daf remain the only members of the "exclusive eight" club.
