• OE and aftermarket clutch manufacturer Sachs has initiated a coaching programme aimed at showing how technicians and drivers can help to influence both workshop performance and improved vehicle utilisation.
The programme, available via local Sachs distributors, provides fleet workshops with specialist technical help and includes a series of detailed posters and a 12-minute CDbased video for all drivers.
This explains the workings of a modern clutch and how the right driving technique can extend its operational life.
Sachs's updated version of its CV clutch catalogue is due out in the new year and with 150 HGV references in it, mixed fleets will find parts selection much easier.
