Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE REPLACEMENT for the Leyland Buffalo codenamed the HT100A-will be launched early next year, probably in January.

It will have a completely new chassis, parabolic suspension, and will be fitted with a lower mounted version of the Roadtrain 16.28 cab.

In the meantime, to satisfy customers who have a seasonal increase in business at Christmas (supermarkets, for example) Leyland has released a number of HT101 chassis to selected operators.

The HT1 01 is an interim machine and is in effect a current Buffalo chassis fitted with the new cab.

The apparent lack of sequence in the numbering is due to the HT100 already being establishec before Leyland Vehicles decided that an interim model wae needed.

The running units for both models will be carried over frorr Buffalo (that is, Leyland TL11A engine, Fuller RT609 gearbo;+ and Leyland hub reduction axle).

The HT101 will not go on gen. eral sale, while the HT100 "defi. nitive" Buffalo replacement wil probably be known as a 16.21 i. the current Roadtrain sequence is kept.
