Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The JD Autocharger, an entirely automatic electronically controlled battery charger introduced by JD Electronics Ltd. checks its own electronic circuit to ensure correct operation and will cut out when a fault is found, giving warning that it has ceased to operate by extinguishing a red charging light. When the operator has located and corrected the fault charging will recommence once the automatic reset button has been activated.

The unit is simple to operate and has been developed for maximum safety; it is doubleinsulated to BSI requirements against accidental shock. It will determine for itself whether it has been connected to a 6V or 12V battery, and regulate itself accordingly. It will submit only sufficient current to recharge, the progress being shown by the modulated glow of the electriceye light.

The fuseless charger has a special temperature limitation device which if the operator tries to charge a faulty battery, will cut itself off before overheating can take place.

Compact and easy to handle, it has a moulded-in retainer well in order that it can be hung on a garage wall whether in operation or not in use. The body shell of the charger is made in shatterproof white plastics.
