"Pneumatic for Road Transport" —that's the title of a 20-page two-colour Westinghouse brochure which is divided into three main sections—systems, equipment, spares and service.
Section 1 covers basic airbrake and control systems, each illustrated by a circuit diagram. Descriptions are included of the dual-truck system; three-line tractor system; three-line trailer system; spring brake system (truck); spring brake system (tractor); spring brake system (trailer); and lock actuator system (tractor).
The second section describes the various items of equipment in the Westinghouse range. It covers compressors, unloaders and governors, foot and hand valves, brake actuators and slack adjusters, warning devices, pressure control valves, pipe fittings, couplings and hoses, auxiliary devices and other air-operated equipment.
