Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Centrax Gears Ltd., Newton Abbot, Devon, is to produce Stopmaster twin-wedgeoperated brakes of 15in. diameter in a new 40.000 sq. ft. factory, which is nearing completion. They will be made under licence from the North American Rockwell Corporation of UK.

Centrax introduced Stopmaster brakes to Britain two years ago and since then has supplied various vehicle manufacturers in this country with imported equipment. Greatest demand is anticipated for brakes in the 15in, diameter range. These are made in widths of 4in., 5in., 6in. and 7in., with respective lining areas of 126 sq. in., 157 sq. in., 188 sq. in., and 220 sq. in. These are stated to be suitable for applications where S-cam operated brakes of 15.5in. diameter have previously been standard.
