• A new body to serve the waste disposal industry was announced in London on Wednesday. The National Association of Waste Disposal Contractors has as its president Lord Milford Haven and chairman Mr. Anthony Morgan, of Purle Bros. Holdings Ltd.
Mr. Morgan told CM that it is estimated that there are between 75 and 100 firms operating in the industry. "We are asking £50 for entry, plus £5 for each vehicle. I expect to obtain 100 per cent membership. Our association has been welcomed by the RHA", he said.
