Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

UNDER an agreement between F. Perkins, Ltd., and Murray Simonsen S.A.; of Brazil, announced on Wednesday, a new company, Moteres Perkins S.A., has been set up in that country primarily to manufacture the Perkins Six B340 oil engine, although other engines may be produced later.

This unit is similar to the Perkins F.340 introduced last year and offered by the American Ford Motor Co. in their P.600 series trucks. It is novel in having a Bosch in-line injection pump with a mechanical governor of similar manufacture. It produces 110 b.h.p. at 2,850 r.p.m. and 240 lb.-ft. torque at 1,700 rpm.

Moteres Perkins S.A. has a capital of approximately £2m. and part of this will be taken up in shares by F. Perkins, Ltd., through the transfer of a complete machining line from their Peterborough factory. The machine tools, which together weigh about 1,000 tons, have now been dismantled and taken by Lep Transport, Ltd., to their Chiswick depot, where they are to be crated for shipment. Some items, will be taken by barge to the London docks, whilst the larger units will be conveyed by road.

. The machining line which has been removed from Peterborough is to be replaced by new machines for the production of current six-cylindered engines and new units at present under development.

Manufacture of the Six 11340 engine in Brazil is scheduled to begin during the second half of 1960 and will reach a rate of 20,000 units per year by 1962. The engines are intended for installation in 5-8-ton trucks produced in Brazil.

Two previous Perkins employees, Mr. Francis J. W. Holt and Mr. R. G. F. Griffin are the managing director and technical manager respectively of the new plant
