A Fowler Welch lorry driver who was involved in a collision with a single-deck coach on the M5 on 24 March has died. The 65-year-old man, who has not been named by police, was driving a Volvo for FMCG specialist Fowler Welch, travelling from Manchester to Devon, when his vehicle collided with a stationary coach on the southbound carriageway near J3. Another victim, a 35-year-old fruit picker travelling on the coach to his place of work, died at the scene; 27 other coach passengers were transferred to local hospitals.

The Euro Car Parts depot in Tamworth has taken delivery of a new Scania P230 18-tonne rigid with a sleeper cab, and an 8.5m box van body built by JC Payne (UK), worth £250,000. Scania dealer Keltruck supplied the vehicle, which is the second order from the firm in the past 12 months.
