Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

in A female driver has been awarded £4,200 compensation after an employment tribunal ruled that she was a victim of sexual discrimination.

The tribunal found that Cornwall-based Jenny Sincock was unfairly laid off by employers RR Transport. a subsidiary of Redruth-based Rowe and Co (Cornwall) Holdings.

Sincock, a driver with more than 15 years experience including European and ADR work, was sacked ahead of several less qualified male col

leagues. In addition she claimed that she had been subjected to sexist remarks by transport manager Barry Wright.

She told the tribunal that in June 2000 she had been detailed to drive a new truck with the registration W69PCV. She claimed: "A few weeks later he [Wright] said 'Have you got queues of blokes outside your lorry yet?'.

She also claimed that Wright told her that she was "built like a brick shit-house". However, when questioned Wright denied both allegations and the tribunal discounted the claims.

The case stems from a round of redundancies in September last year when RR Transport had to lay off five drivers from a pool of 15, all with less than one year's service with the firm.

On balance, the tribunal found that Sincock had been unfairly treated. concluding: "The applicant was as well or better qualified than eight of the 10 male drivers who were not dismissed."
