Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Kienzle, Surnames

• My attention has been drawn to your story about Lucas Kienzle in the edition of Commercial Motor dated 8-14 February. 1 should like to point out a basic inaccuracy in the report, which could cause difficulties.

Although Lucas Kienzle has been qualified to repair tachographs under the new system, this approval does not extend to its sponsored installation and calibration centres, who can only carry out minor repairs. If these centres want to carry out other repairs themselves, they must qualify individually for BS5750 (Part Two); otherwise, they have to send tachographs to Lucas Kienzle. Mike Ricketts,

Deputy Head of Information, Department of Transport, London.
