• Blackpool Transport is introducing eight new Optare Delta single-deckers as doubledeck replacements in its home town. The Deltas have only 46 high-backed seats and are equipped with additional grab rails, stanchions and palmoperated bell pushes to meet the needs of the town's large elderly population.
BT already operates 35 Optare CityPacers, which also feature reduced seating.
