Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Norwich-based firm of Mascot Coaches has acquired three Great Yarmouth coach operators. This together with the recent acquisition of Green-Grey coaches of Cromer makes the company one of the largest privately-owned coach firms in Norfolk, with a fleet of 32 coaches, all Bedfords.

The Great Yarmouth firms acquired are Seagull Coaches, Felix Coaches and Grangeway Coaches, and the acquisitions added 22 coaches to the Mascot fleet. The Green-Grey fleet comprised 12 coaches, but only three of these were added to Mascot's original fleet of seven coaches.

Mascot already operated Continental tours to France, Belgium and Holland and the acquisition of the Seagull business has added Switzerland and the South of France to the destinations. The company, with headquarters at Vulcan Road, Mile Cross, Norwich and booking offices in Norwich, Cromer and Great Yarmouth, intend to carry on the business as before.

Seven of the coaches are 52-seat Bedford VALs and one is a 51-scat VAL. There are also two 45-seat coaches including a newly delivered Bedford VAM while the remaining coaches are all 41-seaters. Two of the VALs have Plaxton bodies but the remaining coaches are all Duple-bodied. In addition to the 32 coaches the company operates two 12-seat minicoaches.

The Mascot company is a family firm, with Mr. L. 0. Votier as managing director.
