Truck Rental's new purchasing director. He joins the company from George Hopton & Company, a subsidiary of Mallinson Denny Group, where he was managing director. Before this he spent 18 years with British Leyland, where he became regional export manager, Africa.
Laurie Churcher has joined Ryder as national safety manager, after 23 years in the army. As an engineering officer, Churcher held appointments in workshop management, research and development, logistics planning, training and staff development.
John Taylor, maintenance director of Ryder Truck Rental since 1985, is the new UK national chairman of the European Truck Maintenance council.
