Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Goodyear (GB) has signed a five-year renewable contract-hire deal with BRS Midlands, for a fleet of 16 artics.

Finished in Goodyear's new Vector livery the fleet comprises eight ERF ElOs and eight Seddon Atkinson 3-11s, all 32-tonners with Cummins 290 engines.

The deal includes 22 drivers, fuel, maintenance, administration, vehicle licensing and testing, handled by BRS Wolverhampton.

• The new contract represents over half the total BRS fleet supplied to Goodyear nationwide.

Companies up bid

• Tiphook and the Swedish shipping group Steno have offered to increase their bid for Sea Containers after a court decision in the United States last Friday cleared the way for a takeover. Tiphook's share price has fallen from £5.38 three months ago to 24.66.
