• BAINBRIDGE Silencers has completed a £250,000 extension to its technical centre at Clifton Road, Blackpool, built in 1982 at a cost of million. More than 90% of Bainbridge Timax silencer products are made in the UK.
Says Bainbridge engineering manager Ralph Huggett: "The real skills in the aftermarket are adapting and utilising what you already manufacture. EEC Type Approval Standard 81/334 involves ensuring that each silencer part is not only fit for its purpose but also conforms to back pressure and drive-by and static noise limits."
