MR. J. R. HUDSON has been appointed joint managing director of the Moss Gear Co., Ltd. MR. A. W. MACFERSON, who was for many years works director of Hardy Spicer, has been elected a director.

Sir Richard is chairman of Brown Brothers, Ltd., and a member of the Monopolies and Restrictive Practices Commission. MR. M. I. PRICHARD has been appointed deputy managing director. He joined the company in 1953 as personal assistant to MR. FRANK PERKINS, chairman and managing director.

MR. J. M. BIRCH has been unanimously re-elected chairman of the Public Transport Association. Ma. T. ROBERT WILLIAMS and MR. P. G. STONE CLARK have been re-elected vice-chairmen.

MR. H. H. MERCHANT, a director and general manager of Cumberland Motor Services, Ltd., and MR. F. W. DIAS, director of Dias and Co., Ltd., Carlisle,• have been appointed new Cumberland county magistrates.

MR. J. WALSH, asgistant engineer of the Western Welsh Omnibus Co., Ltd., has been appointed chief engineer of the Rhondda Transport Co., Ltd. He succeeds MR. A. G. SLEE, who has held the position since 1931 and retires on July 31.

MR. F. A. DAWSON, who has for many years been with the engineering department of the B.E.T. group, has been appointed sales manager of Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann, Ltd., and will take up his new duties on July 16. In that position he succeeds MR. W. C. S. CHATFIELD, who, as reported in The Commercial Motor on May 4, became sales director of M.C.W. on May 1.
