Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• HeIla has developed and patented a charge compensator unit that improves 12-volt consumer connection to vehicle batteries and increases battery service life. It is often necessary to reduce the voltage of 24V vehicles to 12V, to install and operate equipment such as radios and communication units. This is usually achieved using linear voltage transformers, but Hella says these devices limit connection potential.

The charge compensator overcomes this problem by depending only on the average current consumption of the consumers.

The device will be available in five or eight-amp versions, limiting the maximum current consumption of the consumers hooked up to the system only by battery capacity.
