Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Iveco will launch a 3.5tonne version of the Daily van and chassis cab range in August.

The vehicles will go on sale through selected Iveco Ford and Seddon Atkinson dealers, The range will be offered with three versions of the 2.5-litre Sofim direct injection diesel engine, badged 35.8 Daily, 35.10 TurboDaily and 35.12 TurboDaily. Naturally aspirated 35.8 models get 56kW (75hp) at 4,000rpm and 160Nm (1221bft) of torque at 2,200rpm.

Turbocharging boosts output for the 35.10 TurboDaily to 76kW (102hp) at 3,800rpm and 237Nm (1751bft) at 2,000rpm, while the chargecooled 35.12 reaches 85kW (114hp) at 3,800rpm and 245Nm (1811bft) at 2,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed synchromesh gearbox.

Van versions are offered with three roof heights; standard, high and high cube. Body volume is 10.1m3, 12.3m3 and 15.4m3 respectively.

Two wheelbases span the range, 3.31m and 3.95m. Payload ranges from 1,290kg to 1,500kg, including a 75kg driver. The slid lid

ing side load door is wide enough to accept a metric pallet. Chassis cab wheelbase options are 3.31m and 3.6m and can take a body up to 4.27m long. Body/payload is around 1,800kg including a 75kg driver.

The Daily range was originally available at 3.5 tonnes GVW in the UK. When Iveco Ford Truck was formed, an agreement was reached between Iveco and Ford to stop imports of the 3.5-tonne Daily. This was to prevent the Daily competing head on with the 3.5-tonne GVW Ford Transit.

Iveco Ford will continue to market the TurboDaily five and six-tonne models but the 3.5-tonners will he handled solely by Iveco and sold only through Iveco Ford truck dealers which do not sell the Transit.

Some Seddon Atkinson dealers will also sell the 3.5-tonne Dailys, While the heavier versions will still be badged Iveco Ford, the 3.5-tonners will not carry the Ford blue oval on the grille.

Iveco took the decision to market the Daily 3.5-tonner after Ford re-organised its dealer network.

The changes mean that some Iveco Ford Truck dealers which used to sell Transit will not stock it any longer. These dealers will sell the Daily instead.

EuroStar sales have helped Iveco Ford to take the number one sales slot for commercial vehicles over 15 tonnes GVW in June.

IFT took 19.5% of the heavy truck market with the EuroTech accounting for 42% of IFT sales.

EuroTech has taken 6.2% of the 38-tonne tractor market in the year to date, while IFT's share of the tractive unit market has more than doubled since last year to 8.3%.
