LEYLAND Cars is seeking support for a programme to more than double production of the Range Rover and Land Rover.
The plan would mean raising production figures from 1,300a-week, at present, to 1,600 next year.
The Land Rover is also expected to be fitted with a V8 engine. This is seen as a further move to capture more of the international market.
