Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

YORK Trailers has trebled its second quarter pre-tax profits, compared with the same period, last year, and dividends are to be pushed to the maximum permitted level.

The company made a profit of £652,000 on sales of nearly £9.5 million, compared with a profit of £491,000 on sales of £7.8 million in the first quarter of this year.

A record pre-tax profit for the first half of the year of £1,143,000 has also been recorded.

York chairman Fred Davies said group profit for the year will not be less than £2 million. The company would need to revise its forecast for the year in the light of prospects for the rest of the year which looked good.
