O.W. 1 Record it is noted that agreement has been reached with Tate and Lyle Transport Ltd. for basic wage rates to be increased by 5 per cent to the nearest 3d. as from January I. The following significant comment is added: "Bearing in mind that the agreement is based on and conditioned by movements in the Road Haulage Wages Council, it must be made quite clear that this is in anticipation of the next increase in basic rates which may be obtained through the Council."
