Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• One-day seminars covering the planning, purchase and operation of a goods vehicle fleet will be held by the Freight Transport Association at the Esso Motor Hotel, Bristol on February 15 and at the Albany Hotel, Glasgow on April 5. They will be repeat performances of the over-subscribed seminar held at Leeds in November.

Guidance on the selection of heavy goods vehicles will come from Mr J. E. Farley, group transport engineer for Tate and Lyle Transport Ltd, while Mr A. J. P. Wilding, chief engineer of the FTA will outline current and future trends in vehicle design. After lunch, Mr W. Mills, assistant secretary of the FTA, will discuss current legislative topics with particular reference to demountable bodies, dolly trailers, etc, and the operational aspects of this type of equipment will be examined by Mr D. R. Baker, transport director of Tesco Stores Ltd (demountable bodies), Mr S. M. Warren, operations executive of London Carriers Ltd (drawbar trailer operation using semi-trailers with dollies) and the technical journalist, Mr E. M. G. Gibbins (drawbar trailers using demountable bodies).

Fee for the seminar will be £112 for members, £17 for non-members.
