Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Powdered lime of a special kind used in he manufacture of Marley floor tiles is )eing hauled in bulk by Marley Transport Itcl from a quarry at Matlock, Derbys, to he company's plant at Lenham, Kent, in a iew trailer tailored to carry palletized ;eneral cargoes when required. Return loads nvariably consist of finished floor tiles iestined for delivery in the Midlands or \forth of England.

The 30ft trailer, based on a York (DF34 /TT tandem-axled tipper frame, is quipped with an adapted version of the 7ippermatic body produced by Charrold Ad, of Huntingdon. The running gear is itted with Dunlop Stabalaire air suspension.

Pneumatic discharge of the lime is iandled by a I6in. dia Charrold rotary seal of a new type with shaft bearings mounted outside the easing where they cannot be contaminated by the product.

With Load ax strain gauge load indicator equipment on each axle of the trailer and its AEC Mammoth Minor tractive unit, overhead loading of lime at the quarry can be controlled via three 57in. by 27in. roof hatches to give optimum weight distribution.

Palletized loads are handled on Joloda equipment, two pairs of tracks being recessed into the aluminium covered plywood floor. A removable section of floor, complete with Joloda tracking, covers the discharge auger trough; during bulkcarrying it is stowed above the nearside bogie mudwing.
