• A new haulage business — Elgin Transport and Storage Co. — is to start up early in January, concentrating mostly on the Speyside whisky industry — wherein there is a growing need for additional tran sport.
Chairman and managing director of the new company, Mr John Noble, jun, a partner in the haulage firm of A. Noble and Sons, Ashgrove, Elgin, said he hoped eventually to employ between 25 and 30 men as drivers. He recently advertised for 10 drivers and was swamped with more than 40 applications.
