• A Government best-seller — currently 7000 copies a month — is Driving, the official manual of good driving practice prepared by the DoE and the Central Office of Information. First published in 1969, it has just appeared in its second edition, updated and including references to the new zig-zag pedestrian crossings, miniroundabouts. bus-only lanes and the lately introduced unlighted parking regulations.
Copies, 624 each, are obtainable from HMSO or through any bookseller.
