Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A USEFUL introduction to Davenport Vernon and Co. Ltd. (High Wycombe) is a lightweight mobile compressor which uses the Commer 2500 chassis with a Broom and Wade Whirlwind rotary air compressor mounted at the rear.

There are two designs of compressor and the option of either oil or petrol prime-mover. A single-stage model giving 100 cu.ft min at 100 p.s.i. has a Leyland 138 diesel engine and a two-stage, delivering 140 cu.ft. min, has the Ford 2701 engine.

When the vehicle has the petrol power unit two fuel tanks are necessary but with the diesel units both driving and technical equipment are fed from one tank. For tax purposes the full Commer M.A.C. range, as it is known, falls into the digging machine classification with the £3 15s licence. Two larger models, based on the 8ft 2in. wheelbase Karrier Bantam chassis, will shortly be introduced.
