Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

POSTERS declaring the amount of tax paid by vehicles are available .from the RHA, to be displayed on vehicles in the Association's campaign against the proposals in the Transport Bill. The amounts on the posters range from £450 to £2,200.

A statement issued by the association this week outlines the tax commitments faced by hauliers.

Fuel tax (3s 7d a gallon) and vehicle licence duties (£63 a year upwards) are cited, together with the example of an Exeter haulier who will have to pay £3,300 a year in tax for each of his vehicles.

Vehicles contribute all but £20m of the total expenditure on roads annually, says the RHA; this figure represents one-third of the total tax paid by operators.
