Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A recovery vehicle operator is complaining that the police have shown "little interest" after he suffered his third vehicle theft this year.

Terry Williams, managing director of Commercial Recovery and Repairs near Heathrow, had a Daf 3600 sleeper fitted with a Wreckers International recovery unit stolen on Sunday night (25 August).

Williams says the police have not visited the yard and took the vehicle registration number by telephone. "They did not ask for details of the vehicle's colours," he adds.

According to Williams the unit should be easy to spot because it has a special-length chassis custom built by Daf to his specifications. The vehicle is white with a black roof and yellow doors. Its registration number is C136 XLK; chassis number 276871. Williams previously lost an FL7 tractor and a Daf 2500.
