IN ORDER to bypass the bottleneck at the inland clearance depot, City Deep, Unifast International is now clearing Johannesburg container traffic at Durban — in the warehouses of sister company South African Warehousing Services.
After clearance at Durban, traffic is moved by rail in groupowned domestic containers up to Johannesburg where South African Warehousing Services are able to collect and take it into their own warehouse for stripping and delivery. The result is that goods arrive at their destination the following day.
