Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A TOP sleeper cab, which is available as an option on all standard cab chassis, has been introduced by DAF Trucks to the British market.

The roof-spoiler sleeper cab, or top sleeper, is claimed to make a significant contribution to improving load space within existing combinations.

With the top sleeper, no space is used for sleeping accommodation behind the cab, so a gain of 43cm (17in) in length and, therefore, load space, is achieved, says DAF. In the case of drawbar combinations, extra load space is achieved through the reduction of distance be tween the prime mover and the trailer to give increased trailer length within existing maximum length regulations.

The cab has aerodynamic styling which is claimed to improve fuel consumption while providing an area of cab space for the operator's livery. The top sleeper cab is said to be around 60kg (1321b) lighter than a normal sleeper cab.

The standard manual cab tilting mechanism is replaced with an hydraulic system, and the cab mountings and the lock on the cab support have both been strengthened, says DAF.

The sleeping compartment is. furnished with a bunk, measuring 1.90m x 0.6m, and is surrounded by fabric coverings on both the cab sides and floor to provide insulation for both heat and sound.

The cab has a translucent roof flap, and ventilation is further improved through openings in the cab sides. There is also a plug socket for a TV or a coffee maker.

The sleeping compartment is reached via an opening from a step between the driver and the passenger.
