DUPLE Coachbuilders have released occlusive details of their new Dominant Goldliner series. Two prototypes—developed from the Duple Dominant coach—are currently being tested at their Blackpool factory, Based on the Duple "Phase 2" structure, the Goldliner body incorporates electrically welded square tube sections. Entrance widths, gangway headroom, etc. have been designed with GRSA recommendations in mind.

The rhd prototype has been built on a Bedford. YMT chassis and following trials in North Africa, will enter service with National Travel later this year for extended proving trials and evaluation.

The thd Dominant Goldliner, shown here, has been built on a 12 metre Volvo B.58 chassis for the Moseley Group, Loughborough, who have been given exclusive distribution rights in Scandinavia. The Volvo Goldliner prototoype was recently exhibited at the Swedish Coach Operators Congress in Sundsvall, Northern Sweden.

On the export Dominant Goldliner for Scandinavia, items such as halogen headlamps with wash equipment, heated laminated front windscreens and heated mirrors are incorporated in the specification. Heavy duty, ,func • tional ;steel bumpers incorporating towing hitches at both front and rear are included in the lhd version of the Goldliner.
