A FIAT OM 75 tipper has joined the 30-strong rental fleet of the Reading-based company of Mini Tipper Hire Ltd. The newcomer has a 12ft Sin long dropside body built by City Motors Ltd of Oxford from aluminium plank sections.
It is plated at 7.38 tons gvw and weighs under 3 tons. No hgv licence qualifications are needed, either now or after January 1976 when the hgv threshold changes to 7.38 tons (7.5 tonnes) gross.
