Here's an event that all Gardner Engine enthusiasts out there should mark in bold in their diaries, The Gardner 1999 Engine Rally, sponsored by Manchester-based diesel engine manufacturer Gardner, will be held at the National Waterways Museum in Gloucester Docks, Gloucester, on Saturday and Sunday 19-20 June from 10:00-16:00hrs. Admission is free. All manner of Gardner engines will be on show, including bus, truck, industrial, stationary and narrowboat versions. Rally organiser Colin Pain says: "We are well on our way to achieving the biggest ever display of Gardner engines in a single location.' However, he is still keen to see more exhibitors. Anyone wishing to take part should ring Colin on 01664 464863 for an entry form.
