An Essex family haulage business has suffered two truck thefts in less than a year. Jones Transport, a general haulier running three trucks out of Witham, lost a Mercedes-Benz 1628 6x2 tractor to thieves who broke through padlocked gates between 06:00 and 09:00hrs on Sunday 24 January. An MAN tractor on hire to general haulier FB Bugler was taken from a locked compound in Creekmoor Industrial Estate, Poole, Dorset during the weekend of 20-21 February.

The MAN 38-tonner Ireg K916 GNW) is owned by BPS Midlands and carried the company's two-tone grey livery with a small BRS logo. Two skiploader vehicles were stolen from Hales Waste control between 18:00hrs on 15 April and 06:00hrs on 16 April from company premises in Winnall near Winchester The 16.26-tonne orange and black vehicles have registration numbers C598FTM and E705DBM, and engine numbers 8444100 and 8742741 and chassis numbers AF39732 and M167769 respectively.

Atrailer on long-term lease from TIP Rental Trailer was stolen from Tank Clean in Western Docks, Southampton between 9 and 12 April. The 30ft stepftome triaxle skeletal has air suspension and wide single tyres. It was being operated by French-owned Matsolex, part of GCA Group, to carry 20ft tank containers.

The blue trailer's DOT number is A146676 and its TIP unit number is 890205. Serial number is 302513.
