GLASGOW municipal transport employees are expecting an increase of 2s. a week, as the result of the application by the Transport and General Workers' Union to the National Joint Industrial Council to have the city graded in a special class for Scotland. A subcommittee has had two conferences with representatives of the union and the corporation is making a recommendation to the full Industrial Council. It is understood that the subcommittee is of opinion that traffic conditions in Glasgow are exceptional.
