• A working document standardizing leafspring dimensions, to be used to simplify both production and maintenance, has been issued by the Road Vehicle Spring Society in conjunction with The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Called Metric Dimensions for Leaf Springs it enables British spring manufacturers to adopt dimensional standards similar to those already being used on the Continent.
