• Forty-eight competitors will be taking part on Sunday in the national finals of the UK Bus Driver of the Year competition. The final takes place at Motec, High Ercall, Shropshire, and starts with a Highway Code and legal responsibilities test at 10.30 am. The competition also includes a vehicle inspection test and manoeuvring tests.
The contest was started in 1967 as a small event in Coventry and is now organized as a national event with a committee comprising members from the 12 competing centres as well as representatives from RoSPA and the RTM3.
