WHETHER or not a minibus operator VY was granted the number of vehicles he applied for made no difference—he would still use unlicensed vehicles for carrying freight if the need arose. This was admitted by Mr. R. Bowles, of Roy Bowles Transport, Ltd., Hounslow, at the rehearing of an application to have minibuses specified on a B licence, heard before the Metropolitan Deputy Licensing Authority on Wednesday.

The original application by Bole: (for five vehicles) was refused by the Deputy Authority, but this decision was reversed by the Transport Tribunal who sent the matter back to decide quantum.

At Wednesday's hearing the deputy was asked to grant eight vehicles plus two on separate licence. The hearing was continuing at time of going to press.
