[1389] Sir,—We are greatly in need of additional men for our motor transport service in connection with our work in military camps, and I would be glad of any assistance you may possibly render in this direction.

At the present we are in 'need of three or four men inimediatelY ; they must be first-class motor mechanics and be prepared for service either at Home or in France.

We cannot engage men of military age, excepting those who may be invalided home or rejected from military service.

[1390] Sir,—We are pleased to announce that arrangements have been made with Mr. Hugh H. Gregory, A.M.I.C.E., M.I.A.E., to award the certifiscates stating the condition of cars to be exhibited at the forthcoming automobile shows of second-hand' cars to be held in London and Manchester.

As no doubt your readers will remember, Mr. Hugh H. Gregory holds, amongst other appointments, the position of expert to the Technical Department of the R.A.C., and also Chief Advisor of Motorcar Technics to H.M. Board of Customs and Excise.

You will readily, understand that it is important that a highly-qualified expert should be obtained for this work, and we feel that in Mr. Gregory we have secured the most suitable man possible.—Yours faith
